Sprinto is the best Vanta alternative among the five platforms scored against our eight-criterion rubric, leading at 84 out of 100. It automates more than 25 frameworks out of the box, connects to more than 300 integrations, and maps controls across certifications so a single test counts toward SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliance at once.
Vanta scores 82 on its detailed scorecard and remains a strong platform. It has the largest published integration count (400 or more) and the largest G2 review base (2,734 reviews) in the six-platform ranking. The five alternatives below score between 52 and 84.
Vanta
82/100 Strong (70 to 84)
The largest integration catalog in the SOC 2 ranking, with 5 of 5 on vendor risk. Pricing transparency is its weakest criterion, since no price appears on its site. Its audit path scores 3 of 5.

What Vanta offers and where the five differ
Vanta covers more than 35 frameworks including the SOC 2 framework and ISO 27001, on a platform with more than 400 integrations. It connects to a partner auditor network (or your own auditor) for the actual report, publishes no dollar figure on its pricing page, and caps AI questionnaire answering by plan tier.
Three things the alternatives offer that Vanta does not:
Thoropass delivers the audit itself. Vanta routes you to an outside CPA firm. Thoropass describes Thoropass Assurance as an in-house licensed CPA firm that produces the report.
Secureframe publishes a starting price. Its Fundamentals plan starts at $7,500 a year on secureframe.com. Vanta’s pricing page shows four plan names and no numbers.
Scrut carries the highest G2 average in the set.Scrut’s 4.9 from 1,328 reviews compares with Vanta’s 4.6 from 2,734.
Alternatives rank by weighted total on the published scoring criteria. The criteria run in priority order by weight: automated evidence (20 points), framework coverage and audit path (15 each), then pricing transparency, trust and questionnaires, vendor risk management, customisation and user sentiment (10 each).
Vanta scores 82 on the same rubric and is not a ranked entry on its own alternatives page. A capability counts when the vendor lists it on any plan or add-on, and a capability that does not ship scores as absent. Scores as of 11 October 2026.

1. Sprinto: Best overall Vanta alternative
84/100
Strong (70 to 84)
Sprinto product page, captured 24 September 2026
Sprinto scores 84 on the rubric, placing it first of the five alternatives rated here. It automates more than 25 frameworks out of the box and covers more than 300 integrations with continuous monitoring. Its unified control set maps one test toward multiple certifications, which reduces repeat work when a team stacks SOC 2 with ISO 27001 or HIPAA. The trust center generates directly from existing compliance data, and AI questionnaire answering is included on the entry tier at 20 responses a year. Vendor risk management covers automated discovery, AI document review, periodic vendor reviews and, in an Enterprise TPRM add-on, continuous monitoring. No dollar figure appears on sprinto.com.
Drata scores 76 and ranks second in this list. Its no-code custom tests (Adaptive Automation) let compliance teams build automated controls without writing code. Drata says more than 175 audit firms work through its Auditor Alliance, and auditors review evidence in its Audit Hub. The trust center is built on the SafeBase acquisition, and the third-party risk module pulls documents from a vendor's trust center to run assessments automatically. All ten frameworks in our matrix have their own product page on drata.com. Drata does not publish a price or an integration count; its site describes the catalog as "hundreds of tools."
Strong on custom automation, vendor risk and a named network of audit firms. Drata prints no price on its website and describes its integrations only as "hundreds", which holds its score down.
3. Secureframe: Best for federal and defense frameworks
75/100
Strong (70 to 84)
Secureframe homepage, captured 24 September 2026
Secureframe scores 75 and ranks third. It is the only platform of the five that publishes a starting price on secureframe.com: the Fundamentals plan begins at $7,500 a year. Its framework list covers about 33 named frameworks, including a dedicated defense product tier for CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-53 High, and FedRAMP. Custom frameworks, controls, and tests come included on the base plan rather than as an add-on. The advanced third-party risk module sits on the higher Complete tier.
4. Scrut: Best for regional frameworks outside the US
72/100
Strong (70 to 84)
Scrut homepage, captured 24 September 2026
Scrut scores 72 and ranks fourth in this list. Its 4.9 G2 average from 1,328 reviews is the highest of any platform in this set, including Vanta. The framework list covers more than 70 frameworks, with regional standards such as MAS TRM for Singapore, SAMA for Saudi Arabia, and RBI for India. FedRAMP is absent from its list. Scrut's pricing page returns a 404, and no plan details appear on scrut.io. With 150 or more published integrations, it has the smallest published count of the five here. Its vendor risk module sends AI-generated questionnaires, scores the answers and monitors online sources for vendor breach data.

5. Thoropass: Best for buying the audit and the platform together
52/100
Limited (35 to 54)
Thoropass homepage, captured 24 September 2026
Thoropass scores 52 and ranks fifth. It is the only platform here that delivers the audit itself. Thoropass describes Thoropass Assurance as its in-house licensed CPA firm, registered with the AICPA. Its trust center runs on a custom domain, with public, private and NDA-gated documents. No price appears on thoropass.com, so it earns no pricing transparency credit. Its AWS Marketplace listing shows $8,700 a year for the platform including the first framework, and $5,800 a year for a SOC 2 audit subscription. Thoropass has 585 G2 reviews for the platform and a separate listing with 20 reviews for the audit service.

Audit
Delivered in-platform by Thoropass Assurance, a licensed CPA firm
The only vendor that delivers the audit itself, through its own licensed CPA firm. It scores 0 of 5 on vendor risk, customisation and pricing transparency, and 1 of 5 on automated evidence.
The platform subscription, even where vendors publish a price, is only part of the total cost. The audit is a separate engagement for Sprinto, Drata, Secureframe, and Scrut, paid to whichever CPA firm you choose through a partner network or your own auditor. A-LIGN, a licensed firm, puts the range for a SOC 2 audit at $20,000 to $150,000 or more, depending on company size, scope, and report type.
Thoropass is the exception. Its SOC 2 audit subscription starts at $5,800 a year on its AWS Marketplace listing, bundled into the same vendor relationship as the platform.
Only Secureframe shows a starting price on secureframe.com ($7,500 a year for Fundamentals). On AWS Marketplace, all six vendors list prices. For platform plus one framework, the five alternatives sort as follows: Thoropass $8,700 (first framework included), Sprinto $9,500, then a three-way tie at $15,000: Scrut (up to 20 employees), Secureframe (up to 100 employees), and Drata (1 to 50 employees, its Foundation Package). Drata’s separate listing for a 100-employee organization costs $25,000 for the platform plus $7,500 per framework, for $32,500 with one framework. Thoropass’s $5,800 audit subscription is separate. Vanta Essentials starts at $14,000 for 1 to 20 employees.
When Vanta is the right call
Vanta publishes the largest integration count in this set, at more than 400. A team whose stack depends on a niche connector is more likely to find it already built. Vanta says its trust center product hosts more than 6,000 pages. It also carries the most reviewed profile in this category at 2,734 G2 reviews. For teams where ecosystem breadth and proven scale matter more than rubric score, Vanta remains a reasonable choice.
Federal contracting or defense: Secureframe carries the deepest documented federal coverage of the five, with a dedicated product tier for CMMC 2.0 and FedRAMP.
Regional compliance outside the US: Scrut lists regional frameworks such as MAS TRM, SAMA, and RBI.
The audit and the platform from one vendor: Thoropass is the only option of the five. Its audit is delivered inside the platform by what Thoropass describes as a licensed CPA firm, not through a referral.
No-code compliance automation: Drata’s Adaptive Automation lets teams build custom controls without writing code. Custom tests are also available on Secureframe’s base plan and through Sprinto’s programmable monitors.
What each alternative says about switching from Vanta
Sprinto offers to move you over. It says it will migrate your controls, map your systems and set up your existing automations during the switch. Its case against Vanta is reuse: Sprinto says reusing evidence across frameworks cuts the effort for each new framework by over 90%.
Drata says it supports customers moving from other compliance platforms and that the migration keeps existing compliance work. It pitches itself to tech-driven teams running complex, multi-framework programs, and calls Vanta a common choice for a startup’s first SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
Scrut tells buyers to expect two to four months of overlap to re-map controls and move evidence, and to switch after a certification rather than mid-audit. Its own comparison says Vanta wins on integration depth and speed, and Scrut on all-inclusive features with no add-on fees.
Secureframe publishes no migration offer. Its comparison page pitches a faster start on a platform that still scales.
Thoropass publishes no migration offer either. It says it can work alongside an existing GRC platform, and that running the audit and the platform in one subscription gives it a significantly lower price.
Sprinto, Drata, Secureframe, Scrut and Thoropass publish no discount or credit for leaving Vanta.

Conclusion
Sprinto earns the top position in this list at 84 out of 100, with more than 25 automated frameworks, more than 300 integrations, and cross-framework control mapping that lets one test count toward multiple certifications. For teams that need a published starting price before a sales call, Secureframe starts at $7,500 a year. For teams that want the audit and the platform from one company, Thoropass is the only option among these five.

Is the audit included in any Vanta alternative?
Thoropass is the only platform of the five that delivers the audit itself, through Thoropass Assurance, which Thoropass describes as its in-house licensed CPA firm. The other four (Sprinto, Drata, Secureframe, Scrut) connect you to an external auditor through a partner network or a bring-your-own-auditor arrangement, the same model Vanta uses.
Do any Vanta alternatives publish their price?
Only Secureframe publishes a starting price on secureframe.com ($7,500 a year for Fundamentals). On AWS Marketplace, all six vendors list prices. For platform plus one framework, the five alternatives range from Thoropass at $8,700 (first framework included) to a $15,000 tie among Scrut, Secureframe, and Drata's Foundation Package for 1 to 50 employees. Drata's separate listing for a 100-employee organization costs $32,500 ($25,000 platform fee plus $7,500 per framework).
